SinglePoint Plus is a Charitable Community Benefit Society providing support to parents, children and wrap around care in Oldbury.

It has recently been awarded funding from National Lottery Community Fund to increase the support for families.

Now the ‘SinglePoint Family Kits’ are being offered to 300 local families, including both working families and some of the most vulnerable in the local community.

The team has been working hard to put together a tailored kit full of equipment and information for the whole family. As lockdown eases, particularly during the school summer holiday, the increased response will encourage and support families, giving them the tools and resources to enable positive family time together.

The kits include a range of games, craft resources, indoor and outdoor play equipment, wellbeing activities and supportive information.

Each kit will also be supported by online demonstrations and live streams on ‘SinglePoint Family Hub Oldbury’ Facebook page where families can get the help they may need to get best use of the kits.

Eve Loveridge, SinglePoint manager, said: “We became an independent organisation on April 1 after eight years in operation as a school based project, just as lockdown hit.

“We very quickly had to shift our focus from launching as a new organisation to meeting the needs of our community facing this unprecedented situation.

“Our team have been working around the clock to get these kits made up and out to our families.

“Now we have given our 240th kit out and have been overwhelmed by the positive response from our families.”
