Fresh appeal after 16-year-old stabbed in Wolverhampton

Police have issued a fresh appeal for information after a 16-year-old boy was stabbed in the face and back in Wolverhampton.

The teenager suffered stab wounds to his back, arm, leg and face in the attack in Cannock Road, Park Village, at around 6.20pm on Sunday.

The boy was taken to hospital to be treated for his injuries and has since been discharged.

West Midlands Police has issued a fresh appeal for information as well as a description of a man they are keen to speak to as part of their investigation.

The man is described as black, of a skinny build, around 18 to 20-years-old and around 5ft 10ins tall. He was believed to be wearing a black padded coat with the hood up and a black neckerchief.

DC Sarah Lewin, from West Midlands Police's Force CID, said: "I am appealing for anyone with information on what happened to come and speak to us.

“Perhaps you weren’t there, but you have heard details about the person or people involved in the attack.

“If you don’t want to speak directly to police, please contact Crimestoppers who will treat the information anonymously.”
