Academy graduate winger Fellows, 20, was turned to by boss Carlos Corberan after top scorer John Swift limped out of Friday night’s 3-1 defeat at St Andrew’s.

Swift injured his calf at Blues and joins Jeremy Sarmiento, Josh Maja and Daryl Dike as attacking options unavailable to Corberan, though Sarmiento’s setback is not as serious as that of Maja and Dike and the hope is Swift is not sidelined for a significant spell.

Albion’s head coach has tipped Fellows to become a ‘very good Championship player’ that supporters will now see more of after an eye-catching pre-season and cameo across the West Midlands.
