Walsall head coach Mat Sadler wants to send the fans home happy

The Saddlers have collected seven points from a possible nine on home soil – defeating Stockport County and Colchester United respectively, and drawing against Grimsby Town.

And Mat Sadler insists he is aware of how important home form will be if they want to be successful in League Two.

“We desperately do (want to extend our unbeaten home run). What is most important, is that we send those supporters home happy week in, week out,” Sadler said.

“Any successful team will need to have a good home record. That goes without saying and we are all aware of that.

“But we know it is going to be tough at times. It’s not going to be plain sailing and we are certainly not going to win every game 5-0.
