During what has been a financially uncertain time for many clubs, the Saddlers supporters have continued to raise money to help keep them afloat.

Fan groups such as the Supporters’ Trust and Independent Saddlers Supporters’ Association have all contributed through fundraising efforts, such as the 50/50 draw and the £5,100 raised to go towards the Bescot Bar redevelopment.

“It was never in doubt was it, it’s a great club steeped in history,” he said.

“The supporters are amazing and are part of why it’s a great club which has been around more than 130 years.

“That was never in doubt, the fans are amazing and are a huge part of the club and community.

“They’re always going to be a part of that and I can’t thank them enough.

“That’s why the club is so strong, with its heritage and now we can push on.”
