Rangers started poorly with the hosts hitting the bar early on before marksman Mark Jones fired his side ahead on six minutes.

After weathering the storm Boro equalised just after the break through Richard Gregory before Richard Batchelor struck his first of the afternoon to make it 2-1.

Peterborough skipper Lewis Webb levelled before Jack Langston made it 3-2 from a free-kick. A minute later Josh Moreman thought he had earned his side a replay only for Bachelor to seal the win.
