LETTER: Results system is a ‘Torygorithm’

A reader criticises the system over exam results.

An algorithm that sees exam results up 2% for private school kids and down 40% for state school kids should be called a Torygorithm.

Should we be shocked that a Tory government, run by the privately educated elite, protects the children of the privately educated elite? Or should the shock be that they didn't think we would notice?

Any fair-minded algorithm should favour bright kids from working class backgrounds, since they tend to do better than predicted grades.
