Bosses at new Wolverhampton venue on site of old cinema apply for 4am late licence
Bosses at a new multi purpose venue in Wolverhampton on the site of the former Odeon cinema have applied for a late licence which will see it open until 4am.
Around £1m has been spent on the historic building in Skinner Street which dates back to 1936 – it will reopen as Astoria next month and will be a sister venue to food, drink and entertainment establishment Bank which opened last year in an Edwardian Grade II listed premises next to the city's art gallery.
The new venue will also feature club nights as well as an extensive food and drink menu and will be home to the popular Bongo's Bingo which will open next month with a run of dates.
