Train delays between Wolverhampton and Shrewsbury due to signalling fault

There were problems on the railway on Monday morning between Wolverhampton and Shrewsbury, via Telford.

West Midlands Railway said the issues were due to a fault with the signalling system in the Shifnal area, with the incident first reported at around 6:30am.

Train services running through these stations were subject to delays, but the disruption was only expected to last until around mid-morning.
