Three people injured as car and van crash closes road

Three people were injured when a car was in collision with a van this afternoon.

Emergency services were called at 11.33am to a collision involving a car and a van in Featherstone.

A witness reported that one of the vehicles had overturned in the accident.

The road was cordoned off as paramedics treated those involved.

A spokeswoman from West Midlands Ambulance Service, said: "We were called at 11.33am to reports of a collision involving a car and van at the junction of Baneberry Drive and New Road in Featherstone.

"We sent one ambulance and a paramedic officer to the scene.

"We’ve treated three patients, two from the car, one from the van, for minor injuries.

"All were discharged at the scene.”

Police and fire crews were also called to the scene.
