Hour-long delays on M6 after lorry and cars crash
A lorry and multiple cars have been involved in a crash on the M6 – drivers have been warned of delays of up to an hour.
Three out of four lanes on the M6 southbound between junction 13 for Stafford South and junction 12 for Cannock were initially closed while emergency services were at the scene.
It happened at about 1.30pm and involved one HGV and two cars – two lanes have re-opened but lane one is still closed off.
Staffordshire Police said the occupants of the vehicles only suffered minor injuries, but Highways had closed three lanes as a precaution due to the position of the lorry.
Officials reported eight miles of congestion stretching back to junction 14 for Stone.
