Mobility scooter rider dies two months after crash

A pensioner has died two months after the mobility scooter he was riding was involved in a crash with two cars.

The crash happened in West Way, Stafford

Andrew Williams, 79, suffered head and chest injuries after the crash on West Way in Stafford on October 16.

Mr Williams, from Highfields in Stafford, was initially taken to Royal Stoke Hospital by ambulance. He died in hospital today.

Specialist officers are supporting his family and they have requested that their privacy is respected at this time.

Police said no arrests have been made.

The investigation is ongoing and anyone with any information is asked to contact 101 quoting incident number 731 of October 16.
