Six crews were called to a recycling centre in the Leacroft Lane area at around 2pm on Thursday.
We are currently dealing with a fire near to Lichfield Road in Cannock. Six appliances are in attendance from Rugeley, Cannock, Lichfield, Stafford and Penkridge. Please keep all windows and doors closed and avoid the area.

Crews from Cannock, Rugeley, Stafford and Penkridge were using two main jets, two breathing apparatus and two hydro-shields as they tackled the fire, accessing water from a nearby canal.
Firefighters are also using plant machinery to smother the fire along with onsite water bags.
Staff at the site were advised to wear protective masks while crews worked to dispel smoke in the area and nearby residents advised to keep their windows closed.
