Police officers from Brierley Hill and firefighters attended the fire in Bromley Street, at around 11pm on Saturday.
Large clouds of smoke could be seen billowing out of the site after an extra large skip containing a number of tyres and a derelict flat-bed trailer caught alight.
The blaze was extinguished by three fire crews, who remained at the scene until the early hours.
It is not yet known what started the fire.
Firefighters returned to the site at 7.40am today and the site has now been left with the owner to secure.
