Two men arrested after 500 cannabis plants found in Oldbury police raid

Two men have been arrested after police swooped on a drugs den in Sandwell and discovered more than 500 cannabis plants.

Police have seized more than 500 cannabis plants from an industrial unit in Oldbury.

Police acted on information and executed a warrant on Tuesday morning at an industrial unit off Cornwallis Road in Oldbury .

Officers found hundreds of plants and detained two men - aged 30 and 38 - on suspicion of cultivating cannabis. They have been taken into custody for questioning.

A spokesperson for West Midlands Police said: "Every cannabis farm we destroy helps prevent a vicious circle."
