They found a knife, cash, a mobile phone and a quantity of class A drugs.
Craig Sargent, aged 32, from Heath Hayes, Cannock, was arrested and has since been charged with possession of cocaine and possession of a knife in a public place.
He was due to appear at North Staffordshire Justice Centre on Thursday.
