Teenage girl arrested on suspicion of attempted murder as four hurt in Birmingham crash

Four people were injured when a car was driven at a man and a girl in the West Midlands, say police.

A 17-year-old girl has since been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and remains in police custody.

A Renault Captur was driven at a 19-year-old man and a 16-year-old girl following an argument, say West Midlands Police.

Officers say the driver then crashed into a bus stop injuring two more people.

All four people were taken to hospital for treatment following the incident on Pershore Road, Birmingham, at just after 1pm on Friday (August 14).

The road was closed for several hours between Selly Wick Road and Kensington Road.
