Around 100 plants were seized by police during a raid in Lewis Avenue, off Deans Road, at around 10.30am this morning.

Officers believe the plants were about to be harvested and would have been worth around £32,000.

No arrests have been made but police say they are working to catch the culprits who grew the Class B drugs.

Photographs from inside the property showed dozens of plants under artificial lights, alongside an electric fan, wires and insulation.

A West Midlands Police spokesman said: "Police were alerted to a cannabis factory in Lewis Avenue, Eastfield, Wolverhampton, just after 10.30am on December 20.

"Around 100 plants were found and enquiries are ongoing."
