Great Wyrley Art Club has put together a month-long public display of their work.

Previously the club have only organised an annual one-day exhibition of art in the Great Wyrley community centre, so this is their largest and longest display to date.

Glynis Harris, chairwoman of the art club said: “The club has existed for 16 years now and was set up by a small number of residents who had a great interest in art.

“We now have 25 members of the club and a waiting list.”

The club meet weekly to paint, socialise and watch art demonstrations.

Some of the art at the Chasewater Innovation Centre is for sale but most is for personal use.

Glynis added: “Members were free to choose the subject matter and medium for their art display and produced around three pieces of work each.

“We produce a wide variety of pieces using multimedia and have many talented members.

“We are all very proud of our art club.”

The exhibition is free entry and runs until March 27.
