Fieldings Auctioneers, in Mill Race Lane, Stourbridge, started the ‘Back to the Future’ auctions in 2019.

They are run by auctioneers Kayleigh Davies and Rachel Holland, who between them have more than 30 years’ experience in the business. They say the concept behind the auction is anything “dating from the 1950s to present day that is cool and collectible and we feel buyers would want to own”.

The latest auction, which took place online yesterday due to coronavirus restrictions, included the Fantastic Four comic which sold for nearly £1,500, a Star Wars poster which sold for £400, and a Thunderbirds Lady Penelope Dinky toy car which sold for £190.

Ms Holland said: “We both grew up in the 1980s, it is amazing to now see the items that were around us then having a value now. We are so excited to see the look on our client’s faces when we tell them items that were destined for the charity shop are worth hundreds or thousands of pounds.”

The Back to the Future auction is again being held today.
