Visitors flocked to the first public event held at a country house since lockdown began.

The Antique and Collectors Fair was held at Himley Hall on Sunday and more than 50 traders from across the country attended.

Organisers said the event is normally held every two months but the first one went so well they have decided to add another date – August 23.

Paul Rowson, one of the organisers, said: "It has been fantastic and the weather has been kind to us.

"We've had the most amazing traders come from all over the UK.

"There have been wonderful antiques, wonderful traders, it really has been a joy.

"The traders have enjoyed seeing each other and chatting and swapping stories.

"We had around 50 traders and it was well attended with visitors too.

"The exciting news is because of the success of today, Himley Hall have given us an extra date.

"We normally only come every two months but because of the success of today, they've agreed to give us a further date, 23 August."
