Nuno gives us belief says Conor Coady

As the man who has played more minutes under Nuno Espirito Santo than any Wolves player, Conor Coady is better placed than most to point out how he has inspired the team this season.

Coady has featured in 76 of Nuno's 80 Wolves games in charge, including every single minute of the last 47 in all competitions, a run that stretches back to last January.

The centre half, who has started Wolves' last 59 league matches since being suspended in September 2017, said of his head coach's ability to motivate the team: "He's brilliant.

"In terms of his meetings beforehand he makes you feel like you can win every game.

"The way he talks and sets you up as a team and his ideas of what he wants to go on to the pitch, he makes them clear as day.

"He knows how to react to players when we've been built as well and how to deal with certain players and the team.

"As long as we listen to him we'll be OK.

"He puts an arm around you but when you do get beat or aren't playing so well, it's all of us. Players come together in those situations."

Wolves head to Goodison Park today to face Everton, a team Coady knows well from his Merseyside roots as a boyhood Liverpool fan and long-time player.

He says Wolves can go there full of confidence – and be wary of more than just danger-man Richarlison.

"He scored two against us at Molineux in August, he's a fantastic footballer but they've got a club full of them," Coady said.

"We've got to make sure we're on our game and ready to go.

"It's a great game, people know I supported Liverpool growing up but I think in terms of a game for the club it's huge."

Wolves didn't add to their group during the January transfer window, but Coady said: "We know we've got a really close-knit squad and group.

"The club made a decision not to bring too many in and I think to get Jonny on a permanent is a massive deal, he's been a fantastic addition to the team. We're all made up with that."
