Usain Bolt has 'a touch like a trampoline' says ex-Wolves player Andy Keogh

It may seem like we've slipped into a parallel universe...or perhaps ex-Wolves striker Andy Keogh has actually just created global headlines by completely slamming Usain Bolt's football technique.

The man who scored 23 goals in 129 Wolves appearances, helping them win the Championship title in 2009, has been playing in Australia since 2014.

And he may soon be joined in the A-League by the greatest sprinter of all time, with Bolt hoping to win a contract with Central Coast Mariners, where he's been on trial since August.

Kegh, though, said it was 'farcical' that Bolt could become a professional football – and described his first touch as 'like a trampoline'.

"It's nice to have the attention on the A League but him playing in the A League, that's not for me," Keogh told former Wolves team mate Keith Andrews on Off The Ball.

"He's 31. For me, he's not going to be able to make it.

"He's shown a bit (of potential) but it's a little bit of a kick in the teeth to the professionals that are in the league.

"It's fine from a marketing point of view but from a football perspective, it's a little bit farcical.

"If there's someone who genuinely thinks he'd be a good football addition, I don't think they should be in a position to make those calls."
