Wolves to bid £1m for Hibs' Jason Cummings - reports

Wolves will test Hibs' resolve with a £1m bid for star striker Jason Cummings this summer, it is believed.

The 20-year-old Scottish striker has long been on Wolves' radar but they will face fierce competition for his signature.

Cummings has notched 25 goals in 45 appearances in all competitions, adding to 21 in 42 last season.

And there are suggestions north of the border that Wolves' opening gambit will be £1m.

Wolves tried and failed to land a second striker to partner Joe Mason in the January transfer window, with Cummings and ex-Middlesbrough forward Kike just two of the many players they courted.

With Kenny Jackett keen to do his summer business early, they will hope to sign Cummings in time for the start of pre-season.

Hibs' season may not finish until May 25 as they are currently contesting the Championship promotion play-offs and also have a Scottish Cup final against Rangers on May 21.
