Rodriguez bagged both goals in a 2-0 win over Wigan Athletic on Boxing Day to move onto 12 for the season, just three shy of his best ever league return.

Burnley tried to sign him in the summer, and his hometown club are reportedly eyeing up a another offer in January. But Moore is calm about any potential bids.

"No, I'm not nervous at all because if there is an interest, it shows he's a good player," said Albion's head coach.

“There's nothing I can do to stop that with the interest. All I can do is focus on how they're performing for West Brom."

Moore, who played alongside Rodriguez at Barnsley, praised his striker's attitude, saying he would be willing to play in any position.

"He's been superb," said Moore. "His understanding of the different roles and positions is brilliant.

"He's a great character in the dressing room. He's a humble man, a good family man, and he's enjoying his football.

"You could put him in any one of the 11 positions and he'd perform admirably.

"At Rotherham he was unfortunate to hit the post, it's nice he got the two goals.

"All the players in those striking positions credit one another. They all keep each other sharp and we're really pleased for Jay.

"He's got his just rewards for a fantastic afternoon's work. All credit to him – he's a joy to work with.”

Rodriguez stepped up to the plate after top scorer Dwight Gayle was forced off with a hamstring injury in the ninth minute.

Gayle is due to be scanned tomorrow morning, but is now a doubt for Saturday's home match with Sheffield Wednesday.

“We will let the medical team see him in the morning and get a scan on him," said Moore.

"It looked like a muscular injury, he signalled to come off and he knows his body. We won't speculate, so we will wait and see.”

But Moore was pleased with how his side responded to that set-back.

"You never want to lose anybody of Dwight's quality but Hal (Robson-Kanu) came in and did his bit," said Moore. "We had to go and win that match.

"It was a really difficult game, I thought the players were stellar in terms of their performance and attitude.

"The injury can knock you, but the clear focus was excellent."
