The Bournemouth loanee, who joined the Saddlers in January, has previously spent time with Torquay and Scunthorpe but never scored.

No goals have been scored by Walsall midfielders this season, with only four assists coming from the middle of the park, and Vincent is aiming to improve those statistics before the end of the season.

"That's definitely something I want to bring to my game, I want to bring stats," Vincent said.

"It always helps to have a goalscoring midfielder. I still haven't scored a career goal so I'm really trying to make that happen.

"I try and manifest it all the time so hopefully it becomes true.

"I have an assist in my locker, I have an eye for a pass, so that's what I'm trying to do, help the team.

"I'll always give 100 per cent and give the best I can.

"I bring a similar out of possession game to Kins (Liam Kinsella), with the energy that he's got.

"We both do the most running stats, which is vital in this league. No-one wants me and Kins around them when they're playing.

"In that respect I'm similar to him but on the ball I want to keep it ticking, pass it and move it but I also have more to give going forward.

"I want to be an all-round midfielder, a proper number eight box-to-box midfielder."

When asked about Brian Dutton's passing style, Vincent added: "I'm enjoying it, training is based around what he wants to bring to the team and how he wants us to play.

"It's good. I'm used to that style from being at Bournemouth, playing out from the back and being brave on the ball.

"We have to be a bit more clinical in the attacking third, more ruthless, and then it could all come together."
