Stourbridge struck after just three minutes when Aaron Forde's cross picked out Greg Mills, who cut inside to smash home from close range.

But if anyone thought the floodgates would open, they were mistaken as St Neots grew in confidence as the game progressed.

Stourbridge should have wrapped matters up early in the second half but St Neots goalkeeper Finley Iron pulled off two top class saves to turn a shot from Stourbridge substitute Bilal Yafai and then a Leon Broadhurst header round the post.

Iron was beaten on 56 minutes when Forde's shot struck the post but rebounded back out for Luke Benbow who blazed well wide.

St Neots began to press in the closing stages and could have embarrassed Stourbroidge with six minutes remaining when Cambridge United loanee Jordan Norville-Williams struck a free kick from 30 yards out whhch landed on the roof of the Glassboys net.
