In a hard fought game both sides had early chances before the home side took the lead on the half hour. Orrin Pendley was adjudged to have brought down Amer Awadh in the area and up stepped Steve Diggin to score from the resultant kick.

As the Pics tried to get back in the game Danny Waldron's shot was blocked for a corner and Joe Hull and Sam Whittall both saw headers saved by Manny Agboola.

United went close at the beginning of the second half when a shot from Awadh was deflected for a corner but the visitors were back on level terms in the fifty ninth minutes when Joe Hull slid the ball home. The Pics almost went ahead but Danny O'Callaghan's shot hit the side netting but on sixty four minutes the home side were ahead when Greg Kaziboni's fierce shot found its way into the net.

Rushall then threw everything at the home side in search of an equaliser, Ashley Sammons terrific shot hit the bar, O'Callaghan volleyed over, and the home side survived loud penalty appeals and a goalmouth scramble before they were relieved to hear the final whistle.
