The 26-year-old has become boss Russ Penn’s latest recruit after leaving League Two Mansfield Town at the end of last season.

Sterling-Jones has no shortage of experience having played in National League North last term while on loan at Kettering.

The Saint Kitts & Nevis International, who can play both out wide or up front, also lists Cheltenham and Solihull Moors among his other former clubs.

“It’s been one of the longest summers I have ever had.

“I have just been keeping my head down, training and working hard,” said Sterling-Jones.

“There are faces I know here and I am hoping it will be a smooth transition.

“The manager has told me where he wants me to play and how he wants me to play and how the team is going to play.

“It suits with how I play. Hopefully everything clicks and everything goes well.

“I would describe myself as quick, sharp and dangerous.”
