Police find 12-inch knife in alleyway

A 12-inch knife was found along an alleyway by police.

The bladed weapon had initially been spotted by an eagle-eyed member of the public.

The knife was recovered in Wednesfield, Wolverhampton, not far from the police station.

It will now be destroyed having been seized by West Midlands Police.

The find was shared on Twitter by Wednesfield Police where an officer could be seen examining inside a fence.

Wednesfield Police tweeted: "Another 12” kitchen knife found and retrieved for destruction today, after an observant member of the public spotted it hidden away inside some fencing in an alleyway (not far from the police station)."
