Man rescued from fire at Wolverhampton flat

A man was rescued from a Wolverhampton flat by firefighters today.

He was alone at the second-floor flat in Hobgate Road, Heath Town when the cooker fire started at around 8.15am.

The man was helped from the flat by firefighters but did not need to go to hospital.

Crews from Fallings Park and Merridale Street stations attended the incident.
