Firefighters battled the blaze

Crews responding to a car fire have warned motorists to concentrate while at the wheel – after one crashed into their cones and another was caught recording the incident on his phone.

Firefighters were called to put the flames out on Waddens Brook Lane in Wednesfield, Wolverhampton, on Friday night but were shocked by some of the behaviour they witnessed from drivers.

The road was cordoned off

The team at Fallings Park Fire Station shared details on Twitter, and said one driver crashed into cones that had been laid out while they put the fire out.

Incredibly, another driver was filming the incident on his phone while at the wheel.

The tweet from the fire station said: "White watch were mobilised to a car fire last night.

"One BA (breathing apparatus) and one hose reel were used to extinguished the fire.

"We had one road user crash into our cones and another road user was recording on his mobile while driving! Please concentrate!!"
