Photo released of husband and wife killed in A41 motorbike crash with tractor

A photograph has been released of a husband and wife who died when their motorbike collided with a tractor near Market Drayton.

Stephen Mander, 55, and Janine Mander, 54, from Stone in Staffordshire, died instantly in the collision on the A41 Crickmerry near Greystones, on Sunday, March 24.

West Mercia Police have today released the photo in tribute to the couple.

Mr Mander was the rider of the Yamaha motorbike when it collided with the tractor.

An inquest into their death was opened at Shirehall in Shrewsbury on Wednesday, April 3.

Coroner's officer Melvyn Dawson said Mrs Mander, born in Jersey, was a prison officer. Mr Mander was a machine operator at JCB.

Mr Dawson said the incident happened at 11.08am, and the pair died instantly.

Coroner John Ellery adjourned the inquest for a full hearing to take place on July 17.
