Eight-year-old Lottie Rose Harvey, who lives in Seisdon, has been drawing rainbows for residents

Lottie Rose Harvey, who lives in Seisdon in South Staffordshire, drew the colourful images after seeing the NHS campaign.

Now she has delivered more than 60 to elderly people in the village – hoping to put a smile on their faces.

Her mother Rebecca Harvey said: "With everything going on, she thought about the rainbows people were putting up and she wanted to do it.

"She's drawn each one and put a note with it because there's lots of elderly people living in the road, and in the village, so she's wrote a nice comment for them.

"An elderly lady said it cheered her up and we've got to know some new people – like an elderly man, and we've been delivering food to him now.

"I was shocked because she came in and said 'I've got these' and she had a big wad of all these rainbows, so she had sat down individually for hours just drawing them."

"Lottie feels really proud and I'm really proud – it's a nice uplifting thing and it brings the community together and everyone has got them up now," Mrs Harvey added.

The eight-year-old has been delivering the drawings on her daily walk, joined by her mother and two sisters – three-year-old Elodie and six-year-old Esme.

Lottie said: "My mom told me about the rainbows and then I thought it would be nice if lots of people had them up – like a whole street of rainbows."

She said it made her happy to how people reacted to receiving the drawings.

The family, who were originally from Shifnal, moved into the village four years ago.
