Shropshire Fire and Rescue received a report of a house fire on the A464 at just before 5pm.

Four engines from Telford Central and Wellington attended the scene, with operations and fire investigations officers also present on site.

A spokesperson for the fire service said a residential property and an adjoining garage were involved in the blaze.

Traffic data from around the same time suggested there were delays on the road between Shifnal and Whiston Cross, close to the site of the RAF museum.
