Ben Poultney has made colour-in Black Country piece of artwork.

Ben Poultney, who lives in Cradley, has offered up his illustration to help keep adults and youngsters alike entertained.

It comes after his Draw My Town business, which specialises in personalised prints, was hit by the coronavirus.

He said: "As an illustrator I've done towns before now in full colour and I sell them as part of my day job – and personalise it.

"I draw people in and because of the pandemic people haven't been buying, which is understandable.

"So I wanted to see if there was any way people this could benefit people – and so I took out the colour and made it black and white, so people can colour it in."

The piece features Black Country landmarks – including Dudley Zoo, Black Country Living Museum and Walsall's hippo.

The locations were chosen by Mr Poultney, who was born and raised in Cradley, from his experiences and from a list of top landmarks on Facebook groups.

And the people in the artwork are actually those who live in the Black Country – with people contacting him asking to be added in.

The 37-year-old said the reaction had been "amazing".

He said: "A fair amount of people have printers due to working from home and it's gone down really well – it's a way to sort of helping, instead of making money.

"It's been brilliant and it's been mostly adults who want to colour them in – they take to it a lot better.

"Parents were really thankful that their children have something to colour in and it's a bit educational too."

People can download the artwork from Ben's website before printing it off to colour in.
