Man critically ill after car crashes through garden wall in Cradley

A man suffered a broken neck after a car crashed through a garden wall.

Bricks and bins were left scattered over the garden after the Ford Focus lost control in Cradley in the early hours of Saturday.

The crash happened at around 4.45am on Colley Lane.

A 39-year-old man, who was a passenger in the car Focus which left the road, is in a critical but stable condition in hospital, say West Midlands Police.

A 40-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of drink-driving and later released without charge.

The car was left a damaged wreck and those inside had to be cut free by the fire service.

West Midlands Police said the investigation into the crash was ongoing.
