Man airlifted to hospital after serious crash outside Dudley's Castle Casino

A motorcyclist suffered serious injuries after a crash involving a car.

It took place outside the Castle Casino, on Castle Hill in Dudley, last night at 5.50pm.

An air ambulance was sent to the scene, along with a ground ambulance and police.

The motorcyclist was sent to Queen Elizabeth Hospital.

The road was closed for several hours.

A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said: “On arrival, ambulance crews found a man who had suffered multiple serious injuries.

“Due to the serious nature of the injuries, the doctor anaesthetises the man at the scene.

"He had a pelvic binder put in place before being taken on blue lights to the major trauma centre at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham."
