Injured fox and terrapins rescued in Birmingham incidents

An injured fox was rescued by police in Birmingham after it was hit by a car.

The animal was taken in by officers from West Midlands Police's force response and has been handed to a vet.

They said: "[We] had an unusual passenger after finding this little guy injured after being struck by a car.

"Taken to a nearby vets where he will hopefully make a full recovery."

It comes as emergency services in Solihull rescued two turtles – Humans and Terrapins – from a house fire in the area.

They said no people or animals were harmed – with the animals posing for a "shellfie".
