No new coronavirus deaths recorded in Black Country, Birmingham and Staffordshire

No new coronavirus deaths have been reported in hospitals across the Black Country, Birmingham and Staffordshire – for the sixth day running.

A total of 2,561 people have died in hospitals in the region – with a further 696 having died in the region's care homes.

A further six people in hospitals across England have died, bringing the death toll to 29,496.

A total of 287 have died at the Royal Wolverhampton NHS Trust, which runs New Cross and Cannock Chase hospitals.

The death toll at the Dudley Group NHS Foundation Trust, which runs Russells Hall Hospital, remains at 264; while the toll at the Walsall Healthcare NHS Trust, which runs Walsall Manor Hospital, stands at 230.

A total of 382 people have died at the Sandwell and West Birmingham NHS Trust, which runs Sandwell General and City hospital, while 355 people have died at the University Hospitals of North Midlands Trust, which runs County Hospital in Stafford and Royal Stoke University Hospital.

The death toll at the University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust, the largest trust in the region, stands at 972. The trust runs the Queen Elizabeth, Heartlands, Good Hope and Solihull hospitals in Birmingham.
