St Nicholas' First School in Codsall brought in before and after-school care to answer demand from parents.

The new scheme, is called Early Nics, and allows parents to drop their children off at the school from 7.30am until 8.45am and also runs after classes until 6pm. Places must be booked in advance.

The school, which is in Belvide Gardens, also offers learning and care sessions for three-year-olds each day from 11.45am.

The Early Nics sessions were launched by South Staffordshire MP Gavin Williamson last week.

He said: "I think it is fantastic that the school is actively listening to feedback."
