Marian Savu, aged 43, died after being stabbed in Perry Villa Drive at around 3.50am on March 2.

His family, in paying tribute, said he was a "loving husband and the best dad for the children".

Erlin Hasa, aged 34, of no fixed address, has been charged with murder. He will appear at Birmingham Crown Court tomorrow.

Two men, aged 31 and 30, who were arrested on suspicion of murder have been released on bail. A 21-year-old man, also arrested on suspicion of murder, has been released pending further investigation.

Detective Inspector Jim Colclough, from the force's homicide team, said: "Marian’s death is simply tragic, my thoughts are with his family and friends at this very sad time.

"We’ve had lots of help from local residents which has been crucial for our investigation - I thank everyone who has assisted so far and I’d urge anyone who hasn’t yet spoken to us to do so as soon as possible."
