Vandals damaged the coin meter, ripped toilet seats off, carved graffiti into cubicle panels and damaged the main door – which will cost £700 to be replaced.

Wolverhampton Council has now reduced the opening hours to 8am to 4pm to prevent further incidents.

A spokeswoman at Wolverhampton Council said: “The toilets at Tettenhall Pool were vandalised last week resulting in damage to the coin meter, toilet seats being ripped off, graffiti carved on the cubicle panels and significant damage to the main door – which will cost approximately £700 to be replaced.

“Repairs have been carried out to make the facilities suitable for use and the council have reduced the opening hours of the toilets (from 8am until 4pm) to prevent further incidents.”
