Burglars posing as bogus officials in Wolverhampton

Police have stepped up patrols in a Wolverhampton city neighbourhood after a distraction burglary was committed by men posing as bogus officials.

The distraction burglary happened in Central Avenue, Portobello, on Thursday.

A West Midlands Police spokesman said: "Officers will be conducting reassurance patrols following a distraction burglary with males posing as bogus officials."

Anyone with information is asked to call police on 101.
