Dog walker pushed into canal by Wolverhampton yob

A dog walker was pushed into a canal by a yob in Wolverhampton.

Police were called to the scene near Loxdale Sidings, Bradley, in the early hours of this morning

The 60-year-old man was out of the water by the time officers arrived and was taken to hospital.

West Midlands Police Force Response tweeted: “A dog walker was pushed into the canal in the early hours of this morning.

"The victim is currently in hospital recovering. An unprovoked unnecessary attack by a senseless individual.”

A spokesperson for West Midlands Police added: “Police are investigating reports that a man was pushed into the canal near Loxdale Sidings, Bradley, Wolverhampton earlier this morning.

“Officers were alerted at 5.30am after the man, aged in his 60s, was already out of the water.

"He has been taken to hospital with minor facial injuries.”
