The discovery was made in a secure yard off the Market Place in Cannock behind Quartz Bar, and police say it appears the man may have fallen off the top of the building.

A Staffordshire Police spokesman said: " We were called to reports of a body found out the back of Quartz Bar at around 8:30am this morning.

"Officers are investigating the circumstances further as the sequence of events leading to his death are unclear at this time.

"The man's family are currently being informed and are receiving support from specially trained officers."
