Red Diamond, based on Westgate Industrial Estate in Aldridge, was founded in 2013 by directors Mike Jones, Geoff Martin and Rachel Martin. It is the UK’s only importer of Mitsubishi forklift trucks, which are distributed to all sectors of industry via 18 independent dealers strategically located throughout the UK.

Specialist advice was provided to the buyers by a team from Black Country law firm Higgs & Sons, led by corporate partner Geoff Kettle with support from commercial property partner Sara Shepherd.

Mr Kettle said: “We were delighted to continue to support Red Diamond Distribution, a long time client of ours, on this exciting acquisition by helping to negotiate the terms of the sale.

“Red Diamond and Bristol Forklifts have worked together closely over the years and have a good relationship. As a well-respected and longstanding Mitsubishi Dealer, Bristol Forklifts is a natural fit for the business and this deal will enhance and strengthen the current customer offering.”

Bristol Forklifts was founded by Julian Bronson, who has won the Historic Grand Prix of Monaco four times and fellow owner Ian Mounce in 2002
