Finance directors briefing
Accountancy, investment management and tax group Smith & Williamson is hosting a breakfast seminar for business owners and finance directors on May 23 at its Birmingham offices on Colmore Row.
The breakfast event will feature expert presentations on the changing international tax environment, corporate governance and the growth in debt finance options for businesses.
Partner Ray Abercromby will provide an overview of the changing international tax environment and the implications for UK businesses, including Brexit and developments in the US, and the role of the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development.
Ben Hamar, senior technical manager, will focus on financial reporting and regulatory updates in assurance and business services. Ben will provide guidance on the new corporate governance principles for private companies and energy and carbon reporting duties.
Tom Clamp, partner, will discuss the growth in debt finance options for businesses and the expanding lender landscape, how to navigate the current market and opportunities for businesses.
