Police closed Brook Road near Stourbridge Junction train station after the hole appeared in the middle of the road on Friday.

The area had been pummelled by rain on Thursday, with several roads and a railway line flooded in the Dudley borough.

Officers said that four tonnes of tarmac was on the way to fix the hole and advised people to avoid the area until repairs had taken place.
