A man was taken to hospital with significant burns after being found by police in a Wolverhampton street today.

A man was taken to hospital with significant burns after being found by police in a Wolverhampton street today.

Police, ambulance and fire crews were called to Cambridge Street, Wednesfield, just after 4am where they found a man in his early 30s who had been badly burned.

He was taken to hospital where his condition was described as critical.

Police spokesman Aneka Anderson said: "Officers are currently investigating."
